Issue 2628 of the Industrial Property Magazine (RPI), published on May 18, contains a statement on the effects of the repeal of the sole paragraph of Article 40 of the Industrial Property Law (LPI) – No. 9,279/1996.
To correct the terms of current patents for pharmaceutical products and processes that entered the extended period, which was abolished by a decision of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), which publishes the RPI, will publish orders rectifying the granting and expiry of patents.
