In 2025, IGBA will hold the 6th edition of Global Biosimilars Week (GBW) —a digital campaign that will take place from November 3 to 7, with the aim of raising awareness about the transformative role of biosimilar medicines in global health.
With the theme "Biosimilars: a smart investment for global health," the campaign highlights the progress made in the approval, adoption, and acceptance of these medicines, which combine efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Placing biosimilars at the center of health policies is a strategic choice that strengthens the sustainability of public and private systems and expands equitable access to essential treatments.
